Royal Copenhagen Collectible Mugs

Royal Copenhagen Denmark produced a limited edition annual mug or collectible porcelain cup beginning in 1967 and ending in 2014. A different noted artist was chosen each year to design the mug and each mug was only produced for that particular year. This set was a fan favorite as it was designed in 1974 by artist Ellen Malmer. Its Mid Century Modern styling and cool blue, black and white coloration made it very popular. The large cup is 4.5" tall by 4" wide or 5.5" wide to end of handle. Both mugs are in fine condition. The bottom of the larger mug is marked Royal Copenhagen Fajance and includes a sterling silver center circle marked 925S Denmark and engraved with the names, Mary Rendall Don. It is stamped 3135. The smaller mug carries the same markings but its stamp reads 3495 and is without the inner silver circle. It is rare to find the matching duo. Highly collectible. Sold as a pair.
