Variations on a theme by Viktor Schreckengost

Viktor Schreckengost of Cleveland was known as the Renaissance Man. His designing was so prolific that it was said that at one point in time every single home in the U. S. had some item that had been designed by him. One of his most well known designs was his Jazz Punch Bowl commissioned by Eleanor Roosevelt in 1931. I was honored to work with Viktor on a “Jazz Bowl Pen” the year before he passed at age 101. Borrowing both his technique and eye catching colors I designed this square pattern but moved my focus from the Jazz scene to the Tango scene.
